With the rise of data science and machine learning, companies are awash in customer data and powerful new ways to gain insight from that data. But in the absence of regulation and clear guidelines from most federal or state governments, it’s difficult for companies to understand what qualifies as reasonable use and determine how to act in the best interest of their customers. How do they build, not erode, trust?

Additionally, with the rise of data in organisations the threats of cyberattacks also increase. Globally there is a rise in the number of cyberattacks across different sectors as organisations become more data-centric. This program will throw light on the aspects of instilling cyber resiliency and implementing a cybersecurity strategy aligned with the organization’s priorities.

The programme is designed to help participants understand the nuances of the privacy and cybersecurity issues in organisations. This course will help participants develop strategies that allow a company to be a good steward, collecting, using, and storing customer data responsibly. How do you transform the culture and embed cybersecurity capabilities in different aspects of the organisation? How do you create effective strategies that may minimise the impact of cyberattacks on businesses? What should be your response strategy in case of a cyberattack?

Privacy-preserving measures are consumer-focused actions and responsible to instil trust in the customers. On the other side, cybersecurity measures, which are internally focused actions, are equally responsible to make organizations robust for meeting the end goal of inspiring trust in the end consumers. The programme will cover both external (privacy-preserving) and internal focus (back-end security measures) of an organization.

  • Privacy by design
  • Privacy compliance and regulations
  • Privacy and artificial intelligence
  • Data protection and breach of privacy
  • Cybersecurity risk and resilience
  • Building long term cyber capabilities

  • Leadership in the privacy and cybersecurity age

Some of the key learnings from the programme would be:

Product managers, data administrators, data scientists and those interfacing technology and enterprise units will also benefit from the programme.
