D. Karthik

 

Faculty member of the Business Policy area of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Worked in business intelligence field of one of the largest mutual fund and financial services groups in the world prior to joining IIMA. Has interests in the field of corporate and competitive strategies, application of business intelligence and analytics in strategy. He teaches the core course on Strategic

Management and an elective on Economics of Strategy. His dissertation focused on the strategic responses of firms and business groups to institutional transitions. He is currently working on creating a relatedness index and examining the performance implications of diversification for IT and ITES service firms. He is also working on identifying the factors which affect VC’s decision to

fund a new venture. He has presented his research in national and international conferences.
