Thanks Folks. These photos were taken on the occasion of a March 2011 visit to the Florida Merci boxcar by John & Sue Irving and Bob & Sharon McElroy, friends of The Merci Train history from Oregon. The Idaho Merci Box Car is located inside the Old Idaho Penitentiary State Historic Site within the Transportation Exhibit. These pictures have been graciously provided by Susan Furness, who offered to photograph the sculpture and send me copies of them for display on this page. They have graciously shared the pictures with us. If you visit between November and March, they can almost always accommodate visits. Admission to the exhibit is included in the admission to the Old Idaho Penitentiary (Due to reduced staffing at the museum, the Transportation Exhibition is no longer open to the public on a daily basis.
