The Feminist Library Archiving our herstories since 1975 The Feminist Library is a large collection of Women's Liberation Movement literature based in London.
The library has been built from donations from lovely zine makers and zines purchased with funding.
It's easy to find these and other zines online thanks to initiatives like Barnard Zine Library, but you can also find them in physical format by visiting zine fairs such as the NYC Feminist Zine Fest. The Feminist Library has survived for over 4 decades by the goodwill and passion of our dedicated volunteers and supporters, and with next to no external funding.
We are a library and community space and support research, activist and community projects. Some claim this to be the end of the movement.

It acts as a printed guide, with writers and artists submitting tutorials, interviews and advice for feminists wanting to do it themselves. Edinburgh Zine Library is an archive and reference library of contemporary zines housed in the Art and Design Library at Edinburgh Central Library. Mixing art, publishing, music, performance and film, Grrrl platforms voices marginalised by mainstream media.

Since the first fair in 2015, Grrrl has established a truly diverse and strong network of zine makers and DIY artists across the UK, with regulars including Sister, FEM, Birdsong, Polyester Zine, Liv Wynter, OOMK, Sophie Brampton, Housemans Books, Hanecdote, Cheer Up love, Chloe Sheppard, Bricks Magazine, Rachel Louise Hodgson, Cuntry Living, Disaster Zine, Breakdown Press, Typical Girls Magazine and The Feminist Library.During events like our pop up shop at Soho Radio x Jagermiester and for communal tables at larger fairs we act as a distributor for small publishers. Workshops are free to attend and are an opportunity for visitors to learn skills directly from artists, makers and musicians.

Inspired by Riot Grrrl's 'Grrrls To The Front' Movement, our events act as a celebration of the DIY feminist community, creating an environment made by and for women, non-binary, LGBTQIA* people and allies.Our name sake; zine fairs are integral to Grrrl events, with up to 60 self published feminist titles at an event so far.
Grrrl runs zine making workshops in schools, universities, galleries, community centres and institutions. Its design functions both as an accessible and interactive installation and as a showcase for the zines that inhabit it.
