Facilitites at IIM Ahmedabad

  1. Telephone facility
    1. ​Intercom is available in the residential rooms and near class rooms. Participants can make local calls from their room extension by dialing ‘0’ followed by the desired number.
    2. To call from outside the campus, the reception numbers of IMDC reception are as+91 79 6632 5700, 6632 5900
    3. Call from outside can also be made by call the numbers 6632xxxx where xxxx stands for the extension number of the room.
  2. Moderate facilities exist for indoor / outdoor games at IMDC. Table Tennis and badminton rackets are available at the reception. There is a Fitness Centre and Gymnasium available for your use (05:30 a.m. – 02:00 p.m.; 04:00 p.m. – 09:30 p.m.) adjacent to KLMDC at CR – 324 in the main campus.
  3. Indoor stadium is also available for your use adjacent to the Computer Centre in the main campus. All users are to wear sports attire before entering the facilities. The timings are as follows:
    1. Indoor sports: 05.30 a.m. – 11.30 p.m.; Outdoor sports: 05.30 a.m. – 11.30 p.m.
    2. Fitness Centre: 05.30 a.m – 09.30 p.m.; Snooker Room: 02.00 p.m. – 11.30 p.m
  4. ExecEd participants’ lounge (Opposite to IIMA Store) in New Campus is available for discussions with fellow participants and faculty. The timings as follows: Monday to Saturday: 04.00 p.m. to 08.00 p.m.
  5. Provisions
    1. Toiletries / towels are provided in all the rooms.
    2. Newspapers: The Times of India and Economic Times are delivered to all the rooms. All other national dailies & magazines are available at the lounge near reception.
    3. Laundry is collected between 07.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. by housekeeping and delivered on next day by 04.00 p.m. Clothes given for ironing are delivered by next day evening. All charges are to be settled directly with the front desk.
  6. Information Technology
    1. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Residential rooms are also provided with internet access points. For connectivity issues, contact the front desk for help.
    2. Participants may bring their laptops. A computer lab is available on campus
  7. Food
    1. Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner will be served in IMDC Dining Mess. Vegetarian and Non vegetarian dishes are served. The mess timings are as follows:
      1. Breakfast              08.00 a.m. - 08.45 a.m.
      2. Lunch                    01.00 p.m. - 02.00 p.m.
      3. Dinner                   08.00 p.m. - 09.00 p.m.
    2. Special food request may be considered.
    3. During academic sessions, multiple dining options other than ExecEd mess are available on campus. These are open till early morning hours.
  8. Library
    1. Participants can access Vikram Sarabhai Library in the main complex. The library has a good collection of large number of books and journals. Extn. 4977.
    2. The library is open all 24 hours. You may use it anytime with your identity badge.
  9. Medical
    1. The Institute has its own Dispensary on the main campus (located in Dorm–11,  (Extn.No. 4777).
    2. Timings are as follows:
      1. Monday to Friday           08.00 a.m. - 06.30 p.m.
      2. Saturday & Sunday         09.00 a.m. - 11.00 a.m.
    3.       In case of any medical emergency or to order any medicine please contact  reception or 4777 or any of the doctors
  10. Banking and ATM
    1. The State Bank of India has a branch and an ATM counter located at Dorm 4 & 16, main campus.

    3. Axis Bank also has an ATM counter located near underpass in New Campus.
