I love the long dark and fallout 4 suvival mode. The night is oppressive in Outward. You have the combat with blocks and rolls that feels somewhat Souls like in its premise, but sometimes its execution leaves a few things to be desired. I've been keeping an eye on the game, but admittedly still have reservations. That's totally cool. Outward is an open-world RPG where the cold of the night or an infected wound can be as dangerous as a predator lurking in the dark. I really want this game to sell well so you'll add more to it :)From what I've played today I've really enjoyed it.

I don't want Outward to be a game for elitists that look down on anyone that struggle with any niche parts of it. Also being able to explore it with friends is great too.Glad I stumbled on this game right at launch. I pre-ordered but I'm still not sure if I will love it.

Those are actually good games. It requires you to put real thought into the choices you make, and it makes those choices feel like they really matter. You will need to orient yourself with your compass and nearby points of interest (like that big mountain I mentioned earlier) to get anywhere with intent.

Combat is practically the same, the graphics are extremely similar (the subpar AA as well), and it's even published by the same publisher as those games. The process of discovery in a game like this is wonderful and you can't "un-know" where a powerful weapon cache is that you may be tempted to find once you read about it. I love that mechanic. As I am a HUUUUUGE fan of survival mechanics and RPG's and coop games lol.I loved far cry 2 over all far cries due to the weapon durability.
