I am a doctoral student in the Innovation and Management in Education (IME) area affiliated to Ravi J. Matthai Centre for Educational Innovation (RJMCEI).
My interest for research in education and management stems from my interactions with middle and high school students and parents. Prior to joining the PhD programme at IIMA, I have worked as a physics educator for four years in an ICSE-ISC school in Ahmedabad and had tutoring students for around ten years. Primarily, my research interests revolves around the field of educational measurement and testing. My goal is to improve the current practices of high-stakes testing in India, and help providing a valid and fair interpretations of test scores that can lead to vital policy decisions. Currently, I am exploring issues concerning test timing, and the bias arising due to language of test items.
