The business and financial environment is dramatically changing for firms owing to the impact of a variety of factors such as:

1. Changing macro-economic fundamentals primarily due to the decline in oil prices.

2. Rapidly increasing scale and geographic scope of business operations.

3. Emergence of vibrant financial markets with opportunities to access a wider set of innovative financing choices.

4. The greater demand for information sharing and transparency with financial markets and other key stakeholders.

5. Increasing globalization and greater exposure to risks and uncertainties, and

6. The increased merger and buyout activities driven by private equity and the need to enhance corporate valuations.

The Strategic Finance Programme will help you to think beyond finance and appreciate the big picture of organization-wide concerns. You will learn how to make better strategic financial decisions, build strategic partnerships with shareholders, bankers and other key stakeholders. You will learn about the emerging trends and challenges in finance such as currency risk, mergers and acquisitions, and behavioral biases of investors and managers. You will gain in-depth understanding of the importance of aligning finance with leadership, strategy, and execution.

The programme consists of modules that cover the strategic as well as operational aspect of the management of finance function. Each module would be supported by readings, cases and exercises relevant to the participants. During the intervening period between the class room sessions, the participants will able to seek the guidance of the Programme faculty.
