Meet the Faculty

Prasanth Nair

"Dr. D. Prasanth Nair, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Calicut University and is a fellow (equivalent to doctorate) of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His doctorate thesis was on the organizational and human resources issues in Mergers and Acquisitions.

 

Dr. Nair started his career in the engineering field with GEC Alsthom India Limited. Post his Doctoral studies, he had been associated with the Human Resources function in the RPG Group and Wockhardt. He also headed the Human Resources function and Insurance distribution business for Thomas Cook India Limited. He was a member of the Thomas Cook Group HR Directors Forum and the Thomas Cook Group Sustainability Working Party.

 

Presently, he heads Global HR for Cipla.

 

Dr. Nair has contributed papers and articles to various magazines and journals. Dr. Nair has been active in various industry forums like the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bombay Management Association and involved in academic forums having served on the Board of Studies at some of the Institutes besides being guest faculty at premier management institutes. Dr Nair has been awarded by the Bombay Management Association as the “Outstanding HR professional” in October 2012.
