Ramesh Bhat

An alumnus of Harvard University and University of Delhi having more than 30 years of professional and academic experience. He is life member of Harvard Club of India. He holds a PhD degree from University of Delhi and Research Fellow from Harvard University. Professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Dr Bhat has worked on a number of projects in India and abroad in area of health finance, corporate finance, implementation of EVA system, activity based costing, financial and management information control systems, and private equity finance. Dr. Bhat has been involved in consulting, research and management development programs for a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, infrastructure, services, healthcare and logistics. He has taught and researched corporate finance and health finance for 30 years at IIM Ahmedabad, University of North Carolina at Chapel-Hill USA, IIM Udaipur, International Management Institute New Delhi, School of Business Management NMIMS Mumbai, Institute of Chartered Accounts of India, Shri Ram College of Commerce.  He is on the board of Corporation Bank, ITI Limited, Basic Health Services and other companies. Worked as Advisor to the Ministry of HRD. He was a member core team of National AIDS Control Programme to develop financial plan for Phase IV 2012-17. He has worked globally with bilateral and multilateral organizations and also served on several government committees on health care financing, public-private partnerships and health policy. Third edition of his co-authored book on Cases in Financial Management has been published in 2012 by the Tata McGraw Hill Publishing Company.
