Ajay Sathe

 

Ajay Sathe is CEO of Cytel’s Indian operation where he heads a rapidly growing team of about 230. He is responsible for Cytel’s software product development and outsourced Biostatistics & Statistical Programming (BSP) services delivered out of India. His management experience includes applications development, product management and the supervision of outsourced analytics services.

 

Cytel’s CliPLab is his initiative in professional BSP training that is contributing to sizeable expansion of the skill pool in this domain.

 

He is also a Director on the board of Center for eLearning and Training, is associated with Center for Business Intelligence & Analytics, and a member of the managing committee at the Pune Chapter of Computer Society of India.

 

Prior to joining Cytel Inc., Ajay was Founder and Technical Director at Spectrum Business Support Ltd., where he led teams building both WordMiner, an information retrieval library, and Jurix, a law information service.

 

Ajay is an occasional guest speaker at IIM-A and other business schools on topics in quantitative methods such as Data Mining, Business Intelligence and Analytics.

 

Ajay studied Electronics Engineering at IIT (BHU), Varanasi, India, and received an MBA from The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.
